Soroptimist Speaking Competition
"The future is bright if these girls are in charge!"
So said the judge last Tuesday night at the annual regional round of the prestigious Soroptimist International Speaking Competition.
Three of our Year 13 pupils competed against 13 competitors from other local schools. Emma Sargent, Sofia Hunter and Emily Lavery held their own against tough competition and gave fantastic speeches. Their presentations covered a range of topics: equality, the environment and mental health.
Well done to Sofia and Emily for their excellent presentations and congratulations to Emma for placing third overall!
