Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Hill-walking Qualifying Expedition

It was a very wet weekend, however it didn’t dampen the spirits of our Bronze Participants.  They started their expedition at Killylane Reservoir near Glenwherry.  There were 8 groups taking part and after a few wrong turns all the groups reached the campsite.  The next morning the weather was no better but the end was in sight.  All the groups were up early, tents packed up, breakfast cooked and they headed off for the final stage with thoughts of the hot meal would await them that evening keeping them all going.  They finished their expedition back at Killylane Reservoir around lunchtime.  Well done to everyone who completed their expedition section.
